		# #
		#########################

We interrupt your program for this important news,

A new breed of Super monkeys are attacking the city. So
far 11 different monkeys have been observed. After
pillaging several local supermarkets, the monkeys have moved
to the city garbage dump.

Our reporter, Jane Janeson, is at the scene. Jane, what can you report?

	Only destruction and disaster, Jone

Jane, rumour has it that our local supervillains Fole and Raul are spotted
at the scene. Can you confirm these rumours?

Yes, they're at it with big bulldozers clearing the trash and
	chasing the super monkeys.

Proponents fear that these supervillains have discovered
a method to subdue the monkeys and use them for their own
	good.

And what kind of motives could that be Jone?

At this moment we can only speculate, but we can rest assured
that these motives are no good. Possibly they want to take
over the city or even the world.

This was Jane Janeson reporting live for Newsflash,
about current event that only appear to be,

the imminent destriction of the world.

	Back to you Jane.

Thanks Jone

 SpeedHack Rules
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

# Genre requirement: Garbage

The game is set in randomly generated garbage heaps.

# Technical requirement: Smoke

Little trails of smoke come out of the exhaust pipes of the bulldozers.

# Technical requirement: Fire

When you activate power mode, the city appears to be on fire.
This effect is copied from exflame.c

# Artistic requirement: News

See the beginning of this readme. Plus, you get to see the progress
in the game announced live on TV!

(Admittedly, our original ideas were much grander,
but this was all we could pull together at the last moment)

Re-used parts: What was reused?

I re-used a lot of code from my Speedhack 2006 entry (Fole & Raul go bananas).
This goes especially for the core engine
(main loop, menu, resource management, object handling)
The flame fx are copied from exflame.

music:
The three mod files included in the game were obtained from http://modarchive.org

gfx:
Most graphics were either drawn by hand or fetched from the
	web with google images.

 How to Play
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The gameplay is similar to the old game digger.

You can play one or two-player mode.
In the menu you can see a list of keys, and change them
if you want.

In contrast to digger, the goal is not to collect
diamonds but to collect the monkeys. There are two ways
to collect a monkey: hit it with a banana, or
hit it direcly when in power mode.

Use the cursor keys (or WASD for player 2) to move around.
Avoid the monkeys, you die if they hit you.

You can shoot with RCTRL (or LCTRL for player 2).
Watch out though, it takes a fairly long time to recharge.
Watch the AMMO indicator in the top of the screen to see
when you can shoot again.

In the key configure menu you see mention of
an "alt key". That key does nothing.
It is a leftover from our Speedhack '06 entry.
(However, in that game the alt key doesn't do anything either).

After a while, a big banana appears.
If you pick it up, you go to power mode, and for a limited
time you can kill the monkeys.

The red balls add 25 points to your score.

The tires do nothing (yet).
